Job Description: Cabinet Maker

Summary

Taylor Made Custom Cabinetry is looking for a lead Cabinet Maker / Installer with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Skills & Abilities

Experience in making and assembling cabinets
Laminating experience
Cut, shape, and assemble wood, composition, and/or plastic sections with shop tools and equipment such as planers, jointers, shaper, routers, sanders, and various power saws (table / hand)
Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform related duties and responsibilities, including heavy lifting
Valid Driver’s license
Read and interpret plans, sketches, blueprints, and shop drawings for milling and fabrication and translate into fabricated products
Maintain and clean equipment and work area
May perform work of carpenter as assigned
Must be able to work independently / and be self-motivated reliable, responsible, and on time.
Install hardware, such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls
Must possess all required hand tool
Ability to work from architectural or shop drawings through to completion; accurately, independently and with minimal supervision.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work with and as an effective part of a team.
Must be able to demonstrate problem solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move in excess of 50 lbs. throughout the facility.
Must be able to tolerate dust, fumes, noise, temperatures, and other exposures in the shop area.
Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, step stools, ladders, scaffolding, platform ladders or mechanically elevated devices in order to perform job-related duties.
Must be able to use equipment required in the performance of the job.
