We have an immediate opening at our Plainfield, IL location for a part-time Warehouse Associate.
About this position:
Warehouse Associates are an important part of our Logistics Department and impact how efficiently we are able to unload and load incoming and outgoing material. No prior experience is necessary, but a hunger to work and learn is key. If you are interested in learning new skills and working in a fun, positive work environment, we would love to meet you!

Skills & qualifications:
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Reliable car to get to and from work
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Physically able to lift 80 pounds
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Eagerness to provide top level customer service while always being professional
Highly organized and detail orientated
Team player
Positive attitude
Not required but a plus: ability to drive a box truck (no special license required) and/or a Class C (non-CDL) license
Responsibilities for working in the warehouse include but are not limited to:
Arrive each day ready to work at the time assigned.
Work safely in all weather conditions.
Wear appropriate clothing for the warehouse including safe footwear. In the summer the warehouse can become warm and in the winter it can get cold.
Unload trucks and check in materials. Push/pull, lift, and slide heavy, fragile windows and doors.
Have the ability to read and understand receiving paperwork.
Check in shipments in an accurate and timely manner.
Properly and legibly mark receiving tickets with accurate window and/or door counts, and the warehouse bin they are moved to/stored in.
Put stock away and maintain correct location information.
Accurately pick customer orders and pack in a manner that avoids damage.
Move heavy materials and items from receiving or storage areas to delivery truck, customer vehicle, or other designated area.
Have the interest and discipline to learn about the products we sell.
Assist in general housekeeping of warehouse and display area. Sweep, dust and mop. Keep the dock and set-up area clean.
Facilities and grounds maintenance assigned as needed.
Open boxes, mailer envelopes, pallets and other containers.
Report up (communicate) when something is wrong or when you have a question.
Have the ability to work effectively as a member of a team and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employees, suppliers, customers.
Provide professional customer service even during stressful situations. Interact with customers in a manner that encourages repeat business.
Have a go-getter attitude that motivates you to move fast and efficiently.
Company-wide we have an ‘all hands on deck’ approach so duties are not limited to what is listed here.
