Blackstone's of Beacon Hill is an independent gourmet kitchenwares, gift and home decor store located at 40 Charles Street in historic Beacon Hill. Blackstone’s (and its predecessor sister store KitchenWares) have been serving the community of Boston with the best service in the kitchenwares and gifting industry since 1982 growing year after year. We continue to thrive by finding the right people and enabling them to do their best by offering pride ourselves as a store with the right resources to help team members reach their full potential.
We are looking for an individual who loves the people facing side of retail as much as they enjoy the marketing and e-commerce side. We are open 7 days a week for instore shopping and 24/7 for online shopping. This part- and/or full-time person will to help us ensure that our online store is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and furnished with accurate, up-to-date content. Marketing, PR and social media will also be a component of this job. If you excel at face-to-face sales and e-commerce, love to cook and entertain, are flexible and eager to educate customers about our products, then we'd love to hear from you.
Successful candidates should have the following skills and qualifications:
Familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies (Lightspeed a plus)
E-Commerce / website experience
Excellent communication skills
Cheerful working attitude
Outstanding customer service skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to upsell
Bonus: Familiarity with social media channels for store marketing; interest in marketing and PR a plus
Note: This is a physical job and may at times include climbing ladders, moving products or lifting boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
