Early Child Care - Teacher/Teaching Assistant
Maintain a fun, nurturing and interactive classroom that follows all health and safety protocols. That is clean and well-organized.
Have strong work ethic, positive attitude and team orientated.
Help teacher execute daily lesson plans as a teaching team.
Strong, effective communication skills with children and adults through oral and written language.
As a participating Grow NJ Kids Program and a NAEYC Accredited Center, staff members are requires to attend ongoing workshops and staff development training. These trainings will be done in-person as well as online, during work hours and/or during the evening. Staff members will learn and follow all licensing rules and regulations, NAEYC Accreditation Standards and GNJK Standards.
Education Required: High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Experience: 1+ years in an Early Childhood Learning Center
Essential Job Functions:
Candidate must be capable of lifting 40-50lbs.
The ability to run after a child.
The physical stamina to walk, bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, run, stretch, reach, stand, climb stairs, sit on floor, squeeze cleaning solution bottles, etc.
The ability to vacuum, sweep, clean, sanitize or disinfect areas, surfaces, equipment and items in the classroom.
