Camp Summit is a sleep away camp for children and adults with disabilities (ages 6-99), with a fall season September 14th - November 11th. Many of our staff are individuals interested in fields of human interest, education, special education, special needs, etc. Staff members live in the cabins with the campers during their one-week stay.

Camp Counselor Responsibilities:
1) Assist campers with day and night-time needs, maintaining health and safety, and ensuring campers have the best time possible
2) Provide camper care as needed, including but not limited to assisting with feeding, toileting and showering assistance, changing bedding, and washing camper clothes
3) Accompany and encourage campers through their schedule of activities and maintain camper engagement through cabin lead activities
4) Complete all required paperwork and documentation to maintain a physically and emotionally supportive environment for campers

Camp Counselor Qualifications:
1) Must be 18 years or older
2) Ability to work as part of a team in a communal setting
3) Experience preferred, but not required
4) Camp Summit is looking for candidates with the following qualities: team-player, responsible, ability to think on your feet, willing to pivot when needed, etc.

During weeklong camp sessions, campers are offered a wide variety of traditional camp activities in our barrier-free environment including swimming, archery, ropes course, arts & crafts, sports & games, and more!

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $525.00 per week

COVID-19 considerations:
All camp participants highly encouraged to be fully vaccinated. Campers required to rapid test immediately prior to camp, staff test weekly and mask if unvaccinated or vaccinated and around those outside of their cohort.
